November’s New + Notable



November kicks off the debut of an exciting new monthly series: “New + Notable!” Each month, I’ll spotlight new and exciting hotels, restaurants, and European experiences that I’m dying to try. Get ready to be in the know and among the first to see what’s new!

Transportation

  1. The Britannic Explorer $$$$: This new luxury train line is set to open routes in July of 2025. this state-of-the-art line promises a seamless blend of speed, elegance, and eco-conscious travel. Stretching across picturesque landscapes, it offers passengers a first-class experience with gourmet dining, spacious seating, and panoramic views. Whether you’re commuting or exploring, the Britannic Train Line is poised to make every journey a memorable one. Stay tuned for its grand debut!

2. Paris-Berlin High Speed Train: Launching on December 16, 2024, the new train service will allow passengers to journey between Berlin and Paris in only eight hours, with stops in Strasbourg, France, as well as the German cities of Frankfurt and Karlsruhe!

3. Vienna-Rome High Speed Train: A new high-speed train route, introduced in September, now links Vienna and Rome! Departing Vienna Central Station just after 7 PM, the overnight service arrives at Rome Tiburtina Station the following morning, shortly after 11 AM. Along the way, it makes stops in Italian cities such as Bologna and Florence. The return journey follows a similar schedule, departing Rome around 7 PM and reaching Vienna by 11 AM the next day.

With its dark, cozy, and luxurious vibe—plus a whole page dedicated to martinis—what more could you ask for? Be sure to make a reservation in advance!

2. Qhera (Santorini, Greece) This new restaurant is located on the island of Thirasia, just off the coast of Santorini, and is accessible only by boat! Transportation options include the local ferry, the Qhera water taxi, or docking your private boat. The menu focuses on traditional Greek dishes with a strong emphasis on fresh, locally sourced seafood. For those looking for an after-lunch activity, Qhera also offers three-hour private cruises, where guests can snorkel and explore the stunning surroundings.
