My name is Clara, and this is how we got here: I fell in love with Europe at a young age, inspired by my mom’s stories about her time living in Germany. After college, she moved there with no money, no friends, and no knowledge of the language. During her time abroad, she learned not only about German culture, but about herself and what she truly wanted out of life. She admired the slowness and intentionality of the European lifestyle and tried to bring that same sense of calm into our lives back home.
I was lucky enough to grow up traveling through Europe during high school and college. While those trips were short, they opened my eyes to the world and left me craving something deeper than checking landmarks off a list.
I wanted to experience places the way locals do — finding my favorite café, returning to the same beach, and building connections within a community. That desire eventually led me to au pair in Italy.
Living in Italy gave me a true sense of belonging. I no longer relied on my phone for directions, shop owners began to recognize me, and my days were shaped by routine rather than rush. That chapter of my life gave me both the geographic and financial freedom to explore Italy more intimately, along with many other destinations across Europe.
Now back in my hometown of Houston, TX, I find joy in reliving these experiences — and even more joy in helping others create their own. What started as a creative outlet has evolved into something more meaningful: sharing thoughtful, well-planned travel that feels personal, immersive, and effortless.
